19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev won his first trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in specific - resulted in him falling of the top ten and finally separating with long-term coach his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since that period of 2023.
Victory also signifies the Russian has won 21 victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on court had prompted commentators to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He saved 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
